Company Description: A dedicated offshore wind development company purchased by Australian-based leading global alternative asset manager (and onshore wind developer), Babcock & Brown in September 2007.  The company was bought by NRG in 2009


Company Description: Blue H, incorporated in the U.K. in 2004, is headquartered in the Netherlands. The company uses submerged deepwater platform technology to propose offshore projects in deep water.


Company Description: Developer of the first proposed offshore wind project in North America, Cape Wind. Cape Wind’s developer is Energy Management Inc. (EMI) a New England based energy company with 28 years of experience in energy conservation and energy development.


Company Description: A dedicated offshore wind development company invested in by Ospraie Management LLC, D.E. Shaw & Co, and onshore wind development company First Wind. The company purchased former US offshore wind developer Winergy.  Deepwater has the first US offshore wind project under construction off of Block Island, RI.


Company Description: A community-based offshore wind developer formed by principals of East Coast fishing companies to participate in the development of offshore wind energy.


FPL Energy
Company Description: As the largest onshore wind developer in the US, FPL Energy is a subsidiary of Florida-based FPL Group.  The company is now known as NextEra Energy and is the largest developer of onshore projects in the United States.


Company Description: Wind Energy Systems Technology (W.E.S.T.) was conceived by Herman J. Schellstede and Harold Schoeffler. The company specializes in development in the Gulf Coast.

Company Description: Publicaley traded NaiKun Wind Energy Group Inc (T (CDNX: NKW.V), has proposed a large offshore wind project off of the north-west coast of British Columbia.
