December 17 2008- The NJ Board of Public Utilities approved a $12 million rebate program for meteorological towers. Bluewater Wind, Fishermen's Energy and Garden State Offshore Energy were approved to receive rebates under the program.

October 3 2008- Garden State Offshore Energy, a venture between PSEG Renewable Generation and offshore wind developer Deepwater Wind, was selected by the state Board of Public Utilities to build an offshore wind project up to 300 MW.
